During these uncertain times, pregnant women across the country are facing the prospect of giving birth amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Information and statistics are changing daily and what we know about COVID 19 in the pregnant and breastfeeding mom and her infant is evolving. Many questions remain such as whether vertical transmission between mother and babe is possible. If a pregnant mother does contract COVID-19, what can we expect for outcomes for mother and babe and what are the current recommendations? Please Join us and our presenter Maureen Shogan MN RNC for a timely presentation on COVID-19 in the this vulnerable population.

- What we currently know about the history and transmission of COVID-19 CoronaVIrusDisease - 2019
- What the current recommendations are for the care or mothers and their infants in obstetrical and neonatal settings
- Review the potential outcomes of pregnant women who are positive for COVID-19.
- Review the personal protection practices that are necessary while caring for perinatal patients who carry or have active COVID-19
- Finally, we'll provide evidence based resources available for future new data, related to COVID-19 and perinatal/neonatal patients.
